PUTTING Christmas excesses behind them, Tavistock and Okehampton got together for a pre-league friendly match.
The game was the usual close encounter with the deadlock being broken with a good strike under the keeper by John Barratt.
The second goal followed a great move from defence to attack with the ball being flicked over the top of the keeper by Joe Hess.
It was a justifiable win for Tavistock with a superb performance by guest keeper William Pickard in his excellent debut game.
There were further mature performances by Thomas Honey and Ollie Cowan, showing promise for the future.
