IN the men's Christmas Poultry Medal at Tavistock Golf Club scoring was close but first in division one with a nett 70 was Sam Jessop, second Pete Stankevitch nett 71 on countback from Mark Russell.  In division two Max Clarke had a nett 73, second with nett 74 was Bill Phillott and third was Adrian Beer with nett 75 on countback from Tony Cooper and Viv Wilton.  Tommy Rawlinson was first in division three with nett 74, second Mike Iles nett 75 and third was Roger Ward with a nett 76. 

In the Bottle Trot Stableford Mike Henderson had 37 points to come first in division one, second was Adam Bridgewater with 35 on countback from Nigel Doidge and Richard Smith.  In division two first was Mike Youldon with 38pts, second John Tattersall 36 on countback from Mike Barnes and Chris Henderson.  Marc Ninnis had a superb 40pts in division three, second Peter Kelly with 38 on countback from Tommy Rawlinson. 

The ladies were not lucky with the weather for their Poultry Stableford which was played over 12 holes.  Nicky Gawman was first in division one with 25pts, second Dawn Dennis 22, third Liz Lyndon 21 on countback from Wendy George.   Teresa Hughes was first in division two with 20pts on countback from Margot Angel; Sue Coles was third with 19 on countback from Sue Stewart and Hazel Cash.  Sue Pratley topped division three with 23pts, second Sam Avens on 22, third Margaret Burn 21. Rosemary Rae had the best front seven holes with 4 pts and Fran Horton had the best back five holes with 9pts.
