MUSICIANS, dancers and singers young and old pulled out all the stops to entertain Tavistock for the Edge Festival on Saturday.
In the afternoon, Southwest Philharmonia and Chorus filled the large marquee and started their set with Zadok the Priest. The smaller venues around the the town meant that everyone had the opportunity to hear or see something from ukulele playing to Morris dancing.
And with a performance by two young girls from St Rumon’s Infant School and St Peter’s Junior School, who sang their hearts out to a large audience in the garden of The Bedford Hotel.
The day finished with two very different groups, The Renegades and The Kingstons, who gave the audience a chance to let their hair down and dance.
Tavistock Edge chairman Richard Hamer expressed thanks to everyone who took part or gave their time free, and to West Devon Council, Abode and The Bedford Hotel for their financial and practical support.See this Thursday's edition of the Times for more photographs from the Tavistock Edge Festival.
