WSM Hornets 10
TAVISTOCK U10s played their first match, since winning the Devon U10s rugby trophy, against a touring side from Weston-Super-Mare.
The Hornets brought a large squad enabling them to play two matches against the Devon champions.
In the first match, the forwards dominated play with lots of rucking and mauling and despite having to drive uphill the Tavistock forwards kept the Hornets try line under pressure, culminating in a drive over try for hooker Callum.
A second try for the home side resulted after WSM were penalised for coming in at the side of a ruck, giving Tavi the put-in at the scrum, which enabled scrumhalf George to run from the halfway line to score.
In the second half, Will P outpaced the defence to run in two tries, and the Hornets responded by scoring two tries to tie the second half.

TAVISTOCK took an early lead with a lovely run from fly half Reuben dodging the defence to score and a second try of the day for scrumhalf George.
Both teams were denied scores inches from the try line, such was the level of defensive play.
The two teams played brilliantly and the crowd appreciated the excellent display of rugby and 'edge of your seat' excitement they produced.
