MEMBERS of the 3rd Tavistock Brownies have been raiding their piggy banks in aid of a good cause.

As part of their ‘Friend to Animals’ badge, the Brownies have been learning about endangered species, thinking about how to care for their own pets and, in particular, supporting the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Charity. They have made origami whales and have written messages on them supporting the charity’s work.

They have taken part in a fun quiz, learning lots of interesting whale and dolphin facts along the way.

Finally, the Brownies asked their fellow Brownies to raid their piggy banks for small change and then created a dolphin picture with the coins they collected, raising £18.15 for the charity in the process.
