A MAN with a distinctive tattoo is being sought by police after a woman was raped in Callington.

The victim was attacked just after midnight on Saturday, November 17, although details have only just been released by police.

She was walking home alone along Launceston Road after leaving the Swingletree Pub in Kelly Bray, when she was confronted at the junction of Isacombe Oaks.

The suspect had a Triquetra or Celtic Knot tattoo on his right hip/thigh area. He was said to be taller than 5ft 7ins, white, in his 20s or 30s and of wiry or athletic build. He smelled of bleach or antiseptic and was wearing a slightly faded, red hooded top with a pocket on the front.
