AN illustrated talk on Margaret Thatcher's personality and working methodology, as witnessed and experienced behind the closed doors of 10 Downing Street during her early years, will be given by a former member of the 'Iron Lady's' private office staff in Bere Ferrers this Sunday (April 14).

The talk 'From Lords to the (Iron) Lady' will be given by Plymothian Neill Mitchell, and will draw on his earlier experiences of working in the pre-reformation hereditary House of Lords to provide wide-ranging insights to the intriguing past workings of Britain's historic unwritten Constitution.

The event, which is being hosted in aid of the Romanian Charity 'Agents for Change', will start at 7.30pm in Bere Ferrers Church Hall, with drinks and canapés, followed by the talk and finishing with 'Question Time'.
