A WEST Devon residential home is appealing to musicians to play at a Proms on the Lawn it is holding in the summer.

The Red House in Yelverton is looking for bands or individual musicians to come forward and provide entertainment at the event in July.

Nikki Challinor, home manager, said: 'We are primarily looking for a big-band sound for our Proms on the Lawn we are hoping to have in our gardens, but we are open to any type of music really.

'We are hoping to sell blanket space on our lawn and have different types of music from live bands throughout the afternoon and were wondering if anyone could help us out.'
