WEST Devon?s new customer service advisers will be visiting North Tawton next month as part of a new initiative to take the borough council?s services out into the community. Joined by West Devon?s Citizens? Advice Bureau, the advisers will be visiting the town on Wednesday October 11. The borough council has introduced a range of new initiatives to improve the way all West Devon residents access its services. In June the council opened a customer service centre in St James Street, Okehampton. Now, West Devon?s customer service advisers are bringing the council?s services to the heart of communities. The team will set up opposite North Tawton Town Council?s offices from 10.30am until 3.30pm. The advisers will be joined by the Citizens? Advice Bureau and DORIS, Devon County Council?s mobile information bus, which is equipped with online access. Cllr Nick Morgan, who represents the town on the borough council, said: ?It?s a great opportunity for residents to meet up with our advisers and find the answers to any questions they may have. We look forward to seeing as many residents as possible.? The council?s advisers can help with a range of queries from pest control to planning and from benefits to bus passes.
