THERE'S a chance to win a beautiful hand-made quilt and see many other craft on display at a special event taking place in Tavistock Town Hall next week.

The exhibition, organised by the Tavistock-based Goosey Quilters group, will include two double bed sized quilts, which will be raffled, many other quilting-related smaller crafts, and the quilters' own book and sales stand.

There will be a prize-packed tombola stall and a 'crafty café', selling snacks and home made cakes.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Asthma UK and the Tavistock Triangle Centre cancer support group.

The exhibition will run from Thursday, September 6 (noon to 4.30pm) until September 8 (between 9.30am and 4.30pm).

Tavistock Goosey Quilters meet at Tavistock Methodist Church on the first and third Thursday evenings of the month.
