TAVISTOCK swimmers are invited to take the plunge for charity at an upcoming event.
Local olympic swimmer Sharron Davies is inviting everyone to swim a mile in aid of the Variety Club Children?s Charity at Meadowlands next month.
The charity aims to help sick, disabled and disadvantaged children throughout the UK by building paediatric units, donating Sunshine Coaches to special schools and taking groups of children on variety days out.
Water babies can enter as individuals or get friends, family and colleagues together to enter as a team ? those raising the highest funds will receive trophies and there is a certificate for everyone taking part.
Other incentives include holiday prizes of a week in Mallorca and UK weekend breaks.
