AROUND five tonnes of rubbish was collected overnight in Tavistock following the annual Goose Fair festivities last week. Thousands of fairgoers left the town last Wednesday night, and a team of West Devon Borough Council contract workers moved in early next morning to clean up. They collected two tonnes of recycling rubbish and just over three tonnes of waste. The big clean-up was completed just before 6am on Thursday.
