BERE'S poor start to the season continued as Lamerton showed greater determination to win this match.
Bere's players stood arguing with the ref as a quick free kick let in Cowling to score.
Bere pressed hard and Lamerton had to defend doggedly, but to great effect, until Hawkins headed home. A cross was then headed home by Lamerton's Beasley.
More pressure from Bere saw Westlake hit the post and as Bere gave away possession in midfield Beasley was put through for number three.
Bere dominated the second half but were clueless in front of goal. Lamerton caught them on the break for Cowling to score.
Swift of Lamerton ran the show in midfield and stifled any chance of a Bere comeback.
This Saturday Bere are home to Southgate Reserves. Kick-off 2.30pm.
