TAVISTOCK RFC Colts received the kick-off and went on the offensive. Stuart Blake started the drive, taken on by Mike Knapman, which took play into the Teignmouth 22, and despite good defence Tavistock created the opening for David Manning to score in the corner.

Tavistock came surging back with Joe Lane creating space for Mark Ewings to set the backs free. Richard Bridle took the ball at pace, was tackled short, but Josh Sutton looped round to gather it and score.

Teignmouth broke through to score under the posts. Tavistock came back. John Pain drove through and the ball spun out for Duncan Law to power his way over the line.

Another drive resulted in a penalty to Tavistock, quickly taken for David Manning to dive over. In the last minute of the half Teignmouth, back on their line, tried to clear but Josh Sutton charged the ball down and was up first to touch down for his second try.

The second half started with Tavistock storming forward. Hamish Pearse-Danker linked with Paul Harwood who jinked his way through to score in the corner.

Again Tavistock attacked, Simon Beard came into the line and was tackled just short, but the ball was moved out for Manning to complete his hat-trick of tries.

From the restart, Peter Welsh set off on a charge, he was tackled but Dan Wheeler continued the surge. He was held up, but James McDowell was there to finish off with a great score. Josh Sutton converted five of the tries.
