PEOPLE in Okehampton can find out more about supportive living for older people and those with learning disabilities at a special open day event being held at Okehampton Rugby Club later this month. The open day organised by Lyndridge Residential Care Home in Okehampton takes place between 11am-4pm on Saturday, July 29. The event will offer the chance for families, carers and possible users to speak to people with experience of the alternatives to residential care which still allow people to keep their independence. There will be a free buffet lunch and a chance to talk to current tenants and residents and look at a supported living unit in Okehampton. This is the first time that Lyndridge has organised such an event, and they are inviting anyone with an interest in finding out about supported living to come along. If you would like any further information about the open day, please contact Sally Endacott-Phillips on 01837 54782.
