TAVISTOCK acoustic singer and songwriter, Jenny Keegan (left), has released her second album.
The 22-year-old singer has taken much of her inspiration from her career working with young people at risk of offending. Bring Back the Sunshine is a mixture of songs, including thought provoking issues, such as knife crime.
The album was mostly recorded in musician Manuel Da Costa's room where Jenny's beautiful voice and delicate acoustic guitar playing was complemented by electric guitar, piano, drums and even birds chirping.
Bring Back the Sunshine is an eclectic mix of songs which brings a unique and fresh perspective to acoustic music and features beat-boxing from one of the teenagers with whom Jenny works.
Her debut album, A Petal Falls, received rave reviews, in particular a 13-year old boy who Jenny works with and who has been in and out of foster care. The boy said the album was the only music he played to make him feel better when sad or angry.
