THE annual Germansweek Flower and Vegetable Show took place on September 1 in the parish hall with sunshine all day.

Ellie Collins and Karen Robinson organised the event, distributing schedules beforehand.

The judges were: Ingrid Bray, cookery; Mr and Mrs Cooper, crafts; Mr and Mrs Hull, fruit and vegetables; Marie Minchington, photography.

Mr Robinson kindly helped the ladies in the kitchen with the cream teas.

Sid Collins distributed the cups with the help of Ellie and Karen.

At the end of the afternoon Colin Smith auctioned any item that entrants wished to be sold to raise funds for the village hall.

Thanks were expressed to Ellie Collins and Karen Robinson for all their hard work organising the show. Karen had distributed all the schedules beforehand with a lucky number on each which was won by Francis Dunn, and was awarded a Homeleigh Garden voucher.
