Organisers of the recent Kelly College Prep School Ball hailed it a 'great success', raising valuable funds for the school.

The ball was held at the secondary school and was catered by celebrity chef Peter Gorton and his outside catering company, and accompanied by Michelin-starred chef Jacques Marchal.

One of the organisers and and a parent at the school, Rebecca Ellis, said: 'The evening was attended by more than 100 guests, with band Raspberry Fish providing the entertainment. It was kindly supported by many local and national businesses.

'Peter, as a celebrity chef, was incredibly generous in offering us his time and expertise free of charge. We all agreed that the food and service was beyond compare and really helped to make the event the huge success it was — we can't thank him and Jacques Marchal enough for their efforts.'

The funds raised will be used to complete a sensory garden and an outside classroom at the school.
