THE Exmouth Shanty Men enthralled an enthusiastic audience at Bratton Clovelly Hall on Saturday October 22, to raise funds for a young boy battling with cancer.

The concert also included a raffle. The night raised £485 for the Arran Tomes Support Fund. Arran, aged five, lives in the Lake District with his family, but has many family members still living locally. He was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma earlier this year and the fund was set up to help him and his family with costs associated with his illness.

The audience for the fundraiser travelled from far and wide to attend, including Shaftesbury, Worcester, Taunton and Plymouth.

The event was organised by Arran's grandmother, Mary.

She is now looking to support other local children who have lymphoma or leukaemia.

If you can help Mary in any way, please e-mail [email protected]">[email protected] or call 01837 871541.

Thanks were expressed to all who attended the event, made donations and gave raffle prizes.
