CADET Zara Waddy was the latest air cadet to be presented with her bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award at Crelake Cadet Centre in Tavistock.
Her award ends a successful year for the squadron.
F/Sgts Nathan Turnock and Finlay Kirkman, Sgts Rob Waddy and Emily Pritchard and Cpl Tabotha Carpenter have completed their gold awards.
They will go to St James’ Palace for an official presentation soon.
Cpl Upha Barclay and Cdt Jess Davis have completed their silver award and Luke Lewandowski completed his bronze award.
The squadron has 24 cadets currently enrolled in the scheme.
Civilian instructor Shaun Reid, who leads the activity, said: ‘The cadets have done well and shown a high level of commitment to complete their awards. We have many new cadets who have just started — I hope they will go on to achieve their gold award too.’
Expeditions for the award took place in the Pennines, on the South West coastal path and on Dartmoor.
Residential exper-iences included a yoga camp, a cookery course, mountain training and sailing.
