RENOWNED for its stunning spring gardens, the National Trust's Cotehele House in the Tamar Valley will be host to Cornwall Taste of the West's brand-new Cotehele Spring Food Fair this weekend. On the back of the winter food fair's success, food lovers have another chance to sample and purchase the very best Cornish food and drink. The spring fair takes place on March 8 and 9 from 10am to 4pm, with more than 30 of Cornwall's finest producers showcasing delicious produce all weekend. Angie Coombs, manager of Taste of the West in Cornwall said: 'The new spring food fair will be the perfect opportunity for people to experience the best in Cornish produce among beautiful surroundings. One of the most enjoyable features will be the ability to chat with the producers in person. This personal connection, coupled with Cotehele's fantastic spring gardens and views across the Tamar Valley will make for a lovely day out for all the family.' Visitors can expect a superb selection of delicious food and drink including local farmhouse cheeses, jams, pickles, apple juice, sausages and meat, crisps, breads and cakes, chocolates, beers, ice cream and yoghurts. Charmian Saunders, Cotehele's Visitor Services manager, said: 'Cotehele's gardens will be in full bloom and looking wonderful, so this is an amazing opportunity to encourage visitors to Cotehele who may not normally think to explore the property and its surrounds.'
