A MINISTRY of Defence representative will visit Tavistock College in the coming weeks to explain the work of the armed forces to students.
A spokeswoman for Devonport naval base said: ?We extended an offer to Tavistock College for a Ministry of Defence representative to visit and explain the work we do.
?The school has said they would like to take us up on the offer. We are always sending representatives out into the community, visiting schools is part of the ongoing educational work we do in the community,? the spokeswoman added.
He said the talk would not be political or make any case for deployment of forces in Iraq, but it was important young people were given the opportunity to take an informed view on defence issues.
