STUDENTS from Okehampton College have scooped prizes at a prestigious regional agricultural competition. Prizes in the Westcountry Suffolk Sheep Association?s annual competition were handed out at the Fingle Glen Hotel, with 14-year-old Robert Long, of Broadbury, taking the the top award in the novice class for his flock of ewes. Marion Elsworthy, Westcountry Suffolk Sheep Association secretary, said: ?Robert won this class at his first attempt and the visiting judge, Paul Fletcher from Kidderminster, was most impressed with his flock of ewes.? She said Robert had attended many shows this summer and was looking forward to a successful showing season next year. Also successful was 15-year-old James Heard of Okehampton, who came third in the novice class and Natasha James, 15, who was second in the ram class.
