MOUNT House School pupils from West Devon have won scholarships to King?s College in Taunton and The Godolphin School in Salisbury. The school has candidates yet to sit scholarships at a number of other schools, including Harrow, Kelly and Sherborne. The school held a new pupils? day on February 5 with 26 pupils from Devon, Cornwall, Surrey, Kent and Somerset attending. They were given a chance to take part in activities ranging from climbing to music, before being shown around the new science laboratories and art block with their parents. From September 2005 the school will be introducing dedicated transport links for weekly boarders from the Okehampton, Ashburton and mid-Cornwall areas. l Pictured right are a group of new school pupils meeting Hattie Cunningham from Brentor, Tom Lawson from Sampford Spiney and Holly Walker from Lewtrenchard.
