STUDENTS from Shebbear College travelled to an adventure camp near Northampton last weekend to participate in the annual AIMS (Action in Methodist Schools) conference.

The theme of the weekend was 'Tribes' with a focus on global citizenship issues with some hard-hitting workshops on topics such as the lack of education in developing countries, climate change and people trafficking.

Students also had a wide range of activities available, including a team exercise in bridge-building, archery, abseiling and an African dance workshop.

At the end of the conference the students, from more than ten independent Methodist Schools, planned campaigns in their individual schools to raise awareness.
