The teams of budding entrepreneurs will use a unique computer simulation to run their own virtual businesses, in a game organised by the South Western Society of Chartered Accountants and sponsored by Exeter Business School.
The students will take on the key roles of directors of a company and will have to respond to various challenges, as they attempt to maximise their profits and assets.
Initially the teams will take the challenge of taking over a company with a factory manufacturing sports bags. They will run this as a business, buying in labour and materials and selling their products, while facing problems created by market forces, changing legislation and production difficulties.
The competition will finish in the afternoon, when the team which has made the most profit will be awarded a trophy and individual prizes.
