SWIMMER Jan Demery presented her cheque for £494 this week to the Tavistock Stroke Club.

Jan raised the money by completing her 'strokes for strokes` sponsored swim at Meadowlands pool earlier in the year.

Having been affected by a stroke herself she was determined to raise money for the club she belongs to as a member. Jan did so by completing 16 lengths of the pool.
