A?VETERINARY clinic in?Yelverton says it has seen an increase in the number of stray kittens which have been found in the area.

Many of the kittens are too young to be away from their mothers so have been hand-reared by staff at Drake Vets.

Many re-homing centres are having similar problems with the large numbers of stray and unwanted cats and kittens being taken into them this autumn.

Drake Vets said neutering pet cats will prevent unwanted litters and reduces the risk of infectious diseases, certain tumours and many other conditions.

Anyone interested in re-homing a kitten is asked to contact either Gables Farm on 01752 331602 or Drake Vets on 01822 854255.

The RSPCA is asking for an £80 donation per kitten which will cover neutering, vaccination and micro-chipping.
