IT was party, party, party last weekend in Sticklepath as locals and visitors alike made the most of the decorated marquee erected on Finch Foundry Field.

First up on Friday night was the strawberries and cream summer dance, followed on Saturday by a beer festival.

The first ever beer festival to be held at Finch Foundry was declared a resounding success, following a delightful day of tasting.

The event was staged by the National Trust in collaboration with the North Devon branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale).

Some 19 ales and two ciders were available for sampling during the day, appreciated by the enthusiastic beer lovers who attended.

The weekend was rounded off on Sunday with an afternoon tea dance.

All three village events went down a storm, especially for those with the stamina to drink their way through

them all!

The sports club committee expressed thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make the events possible.
