THE OKCC summer time trial series continued last Wednesday with five riders taking part. The consistent Steve Podd clocked the fastest time of the night with 27.15, followed by Jacky Rice with 28.57. Full results: S Podd 27.15; J Rice 28.57; M Rice 30.21; J Stephens 30.34; D Gribble 32.05. Club members also took part in last Sunday?s 15.6 mile sporting time trial hosted by St Budeaux Cycle Club. Despite a threatening sky and the odd shower of rain Jacky Rice, with a time of 42.59, earned herself the fastest lady prize and Tony Johnston clocked 45.59. Unfortunately Mike Rice punctured early in his ride and failed to finish. Okehampton Cycle Club members are a friendly bunch and welcome cyclists of all levels and abilities.
