SECOND dan Steve Lilley and trainee coach Sarah Lilley of the South West Kickboxing Academy attended MAAS's Kickboxing Coaching course ran by 70 year old grandmaster Soke Brian Dossett in Woking.
The aim of the course was to improve the quality of training sessions but to help keep students safe whilst learning about refereeing. Steve is planning to take up some of his South West Kickboxing Academy students to MAAS fight day in April, where Steve will compete, alongside some of his students.
The academy welcomes anybody who wants to learn kickboxing, with any or no experience. With classes at Pensilva on a Tuesday 7.30-9pm in the old village hall, and at Tavistock College on a Friday evening, primary school children 6.30-7.30pm, and secondary school and adults 7.35-9pm.
