A YOUNG girl from Sampford Courtenay raised more than £200 for charity by organising a sponsored bike ride in memory of her cousin, Georgia Sawyer, who died of heart problems aged just five and a half.

NIne-year-old Stephanie Perrott was joined for the ten-mile ride, which took place last month, by her best friend Jade Baker, 9, from North Tawton.

Stephanie chose to support the Wessex Children?s Heart Circle as the charity had helped Georgia and her family through very difficult times.

The bike ride has already raised more than £200 with more money still coming in.
