ON Saturday October 30 a 1-2-3 stableford was the competition of the day with over 120 players taking part.

The runners up in division one (combined handicap of 50 and below) were the trio of Harry Hawking, Fred Cooke and Graham Pengelly with 77 points.

The winners with 78 points were Jim Butcher, John Leonard and Del Owen.

In division 2 (combined handicaps of 51 and above) the runners up were Simon Bowen, Rodger Hodge and Patrick Goldsmith with 74 points. The winners were Alan Dunn, Alan Jeffery and Julian Bennet with 77 points.

On the previous Sunday the qualifier for the Daily Mail Foursomes were held with the father and son combination of Malcolm and Steven Hill proving the better on the back nine from the father and son combination of David and Duncan File.
