THE St John Ambulance members in Okehampton are so very grateful to all the local people for their support with a recent collection at Somerfield supermarket and at the coffee morning in the Church Hall, Market Street last Saturday week, when we raised a grand total of over £600.
On the weekend of July 5/6 in Simmons Park, there is the inaugural Balloon Festival which, it is hoped, will become an annual event. We would love to see everyone coming to enjoy themselves seeing the hot air balloons, side shows, craft stalls, ?bouncy castle? and other entertainments.
We would appreciate the support of other local charities and fund-raisers, (not forgetting ?car boot? sellers), on Sunday July 6, to join with us to make this an event which everyone of all ages will enjoy.
St John Ambulance is a voluntary organisation providing first aid training and first aid cover for local events, please continue to support us.
