THE marriage took place on June 7 at St Eustachius Church, Tavistock, of Lyndsay, only daughter of Alan and Jan Smallacombe, of Tavistock, and George, elder son of Nigel and Judy Wheble, of Bramley in Surrey.

The Rev Michael Brierley officiated, and the reception took place at Tavistock Town Hall.

The couple met while studying in Sheffield.

The bride wore an ivory Duchesse satin dress and was attended by four bridesmaids.

Following a honeymoon in Bali, the couple will make their home at the joint headquarters garrison in Rheindahlen, Germany, where George is a doctor with the RAMC.
