IN the past few months Okehampton Squash Club in which it has started junior squash coaching there has been a lot of interest from the juniors said the club coach.

Clive Marais said: 'We have had a visit from Matt Baker from England Squash and he wanted to see the progress that the club has made with the juniors.

'As a result of the big improvement we as a club have been awarded the bronze club accreditation award.

The players have been coming to the club every Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 3.30pm to 5pm and have improved immensely in a short space of time. We can now enter a junior team into the Devon leagues to play other clubs.'

Okehampton Squash Club has started a new squash activity for very young children aged between five and seven - 'mini squash'.

Clive said: 'We welcome any more juniors to come and join us No matter your experience from beginners to experience from ages five upwards. So come and have some fun with us playing squash.'
