SPREYTON Primary School pupil Vicki Hawkins was presented with first prize in the Food for Action competition this week. The competition, which was run nationwide, was entered by Devon Direct Service, the county council?s in-house caterers. Its underlying message was for youngsters to reach their peak academically and physically and adopt a healthier diet and active lifestyle. Entries were via the Food is Fun website. Ten year old Vicki, the regional winner, received £100 worth of sports vouchers and won a prize for her school ? a visit by one of the Sports England?s ?sporting champions?.
