SPORTS activities will be on offer at this summer's Tavistock College holiday programme. This year children aged between 8 and 14-years-old can take part in the many activities organised at the school from Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 22. The new and improved holiday activities will see children having the choice to partake in either basketball, athletics, a Nintendo Wii afternoon, a day trip to Plymouth Argyle where youngsters can take part in a coaching session, a fishing afternoon, cricket, netball, street dancing, archery and the ever popular Arsenal Soccer School. But this year will also see the introduction of three more activities — a drama day, kayaking and kickboxing. Barry Mountstevens, sports centre manager, said: 'We have a range of great activities for students to take part in. We have really pushed the boat out for this year's holiday programme and we have put together activities that all youngsters will enjoy. 'This holiday programme offers the opportunity for the students to get together with friends and meet new people while participating in a wide range of sports and activities.'
