CALLINGTON Sport and Leisure based at Callington Community Sports College is providing some new children?s classes in both gymnastics and tennis to be run after the school October half term week. On Saturday morning the East Cornwall Tennis Centre provides a Tiny Tots Tennis club and Junior tennis club for boys and girls aged 3 to 11 years old. The clubs start at 9.30am and is run by experienced and extremely well qualified LTA coaches. On Tuesday and Thursdays throughout the school term time, there are four different gymnastics classes available for all abilities and for children aged as young as two to 12 years. The gymnastics classes are run by one of the most well qualified and experienced coaches within the South West, Mo Gregory. Callington Sport and Leisure development programmes are overseen by sports community manager Alan Yendell, who said: ?We have some of the best facilities within the area, and if you put in well qualified and great coaches alongside accessible and fun programmes, we create an environment where children from our community can engage in sport and exercise and enjoy the benefits of leading a healthy and sporting lifestyle.? Other sports and exercise programmes that are currently being run or will be in the near future include football, trampolining, archery, cricket, multi skills sports and dance.
