THE Spooners and West Dartmoor Pony Club tetrathletes concluded the area 15/16 Winter League series of triathlons in great style at the final event held by the East Cornwall Pony Club.
The accumulated scores of four out of six possible competitions decided the results.
The junior girls' team of Lily Spry, Lucy Scott and Megan Groom finished third in the East Cornwall triathlon with Megan taking fourth place individually, while Megan and Lily finished fifth and sixth respectively in the league.
Against strong competition in the minimus girls class, Georgia Bayliss was fourth individually and her consistently strong performances throughout the winter ensured her fourth place in the league.
Once again the minimus boys' team of George Scott, Henry Ware and Kieran Horn produced fine scores - Kieran running and swimming personal bests. They finished second as a team with individual honours of fourth, fifth and eighth respectively. Henry's consistency throughout the winter earned him second place in the league.
They now look forward to the tetrathlon season starting at the end of March when the additional phase of riding is introduced.
