THE dedication of a completed new Presidents? Honours board made the Okehampton Rugby Club?s annual sponsors? lunch on Sunday an extra special event in the club calendar. The club was established in 1884. The first recorded president on the board is Dr E P Jowett, and the list continues right through to today?s president Ross Campbell. The club?s sponsorship secretary Mary Barkwell said the club had much to be grateful for to each of those named on the board. ?All have shown enormous affection to Okehampton Rugby Football Club and their love for the game,? she said. The club also celebrated the birthday of past president Eddie Hawkins who was 70 on Sunday. After a delightful meal guests then enjoyed a match between Okehampton and Crediton Colts. In what were closely matched teams the visitors came out the winners.
