CARS will be moving at breakneck speed at the forthcoming DML Sports and Social Club Werrington Park Speed Hillclimb over the weekend of May 1 and 2.
This year?s high speed event will see more than 160 of the South West?s fastest cars competing for championship honours over the 1,250 yards of tarmac in the beautiful setting of Werrington Park near Launceston.
Over the weekend, several championships will be contested, ASWMC, ACSMC, Cornish Speed and Westfield, all combining to add that extra competitive edge to the weekend.
Vehicles range from hot hatches and 300bhp rally cars to full blown single seater race cars making the most of their soft gripping slick tyres.
The drivers are predominantly from Devon and Cornwall, but with some travelling from as far as London and the Midlands to pit their skills against one of the most challenging venues in the country.
Practice runs are held each morning and competitive runs start at approximately 1 pm each day.
Spectators are welcome and the open nature of the event gives people the unique opportunity to get close to the cars in the paddock area.
Werrington Park is one mile from Launceston and is signposted from the A388 Holsworthy road.
