THE Tavy Specials Football team received their end of season awards at the Red and Black Club recently.
Will Reed, their coach, lined up the age groups and Tim Schmid, the Specials' main sponsor presented them with their trophies.
Tributes were paid to the five coaches, Rachel, Robyn, Tom, Mike and Will, who give up their time to train this wonderful group of children.
Cathy Sharp, chair of Tavistock Youth Café Plus, was presented with a lovely bouquet by Sheena Lewis.
It was Cathy's idea to form a youth café group for children with learniing disabilities, their parents and carers, who have now become such good friends.
Secretary of the Specials, Allen Lewis, said: 'It has been a privilege to work and help these children and see them grow with confidence in their football and their lives all round.
'We are all very proud of them and the businesses who support our group!'
The recent Son-Rise Cup day showcased the three teams and everyone is looking forward to friendlies around Devon in the next few months.
