ONE of the most well known worship leaders and Christian recording and song writing artists in Britain and around the world will appear in Tavistock on Sunday.
Noel Richards will be at Tavistock Methodist Church. Since 1986 Noel has recorded nine albums and featured on scores of 'live' recordings, TV and various major events.
His and his wife Tricia's music is used in thousands of churches around the world and they have travelled to more than 25 countries and to every continent.
In 1997 Noel co-ordinated the Champion of the World at Wembley Stadium where almost 45,000 people attended the biggest contemporary worship event ever staged in the UK.
Noel's visit to Tavistock comes as a special extension to his extensive tour of the UK to lead the first of a series of monthly Worship Events aimed specifically at young people aged 13 to 25 in the local area.
These events are being organised and supported by Churches in the Tavistock area who have come together as Tavistock Christian Youth Forum.
Organisers of the Youth worship event are delighted that Noel has agreed to come.
'We could not have hoped for a bigger talent than Noel to kick off these monthly events for young people.
'It is going to be a night to remember!' said a spokesman.
Noel Richards will be playing at the Methodist Church, Tavistock at 8.00 pm. Admission Free.
