Upottery 0 South Zeal Utd 5 ZEAL finished the season on a high with a resounding victory away from home to promoted Upottery on Saturday. The home side took the initiative early on but Zeal?s defence marshalled by Reg Wonnacott coped well and as the game progressed Zeal started to look dangerous. Zeal took the lead after 20 minutes when Redd Cann exchanged passes with brother Harley and went on to side foot into the far corner of the net. With 10 minutes left of the first half with Zeal in complete control Jerry Stephens scored Zeal?s second with a cool finish after being put through by Harley Cann. For 10 minutes of the second half the home side pressed but Zeal?s defence was in no mood to concede and after 15 minutes Jerry Stephens scored his second with a header. Harley Cann made it 4-0 and Redd Cann got his second 10 minutes from time to give Zeal a well deserved victory. The previous week saw Zeal beat Bampton 3-2 when goals from Garry Smith, Harley Cann and Darren Gilbert gave Zeal all three points after being 2 goals down at half time.
