Plymouth and District League Okehampton Ladies Seconds 2 Callington Ladies 1 THE young Oke team began the match with great enthusiasm and put pressure on the Callington defence.  Right half Brieze Reed linked well with right winger Sophie Cunnington to create several goal scoring chances that Oke were unlucky not to capitalise on.  Centre half Abi Colton took charge of the midfield, distributing the ball thoughtfully to her team. Oke's determined play was rewarded when captain Hannah Whitely pounced on a rebound off the Callington keeper and made no mistake in finding the back of the net. The second half saw Callington up their play forcing full back Katy Graves to make some decisive tackles.  Callington piled on the pressure and were rewarded with a goal that whistled into the top of the Oke net.  The Oke girls responded with creative passing play leading to left wing Lottie Trerise using her speed and skill to penetrate the Callington defence and was unlucky not to add the the Oke score line.  Centre forward Grace Thorp had an outstanding second half running into spaces to pick up some lovely passes from midfielder Sarah Jones. Oke's creative play was rewarded when Sophie Cunnington battled her way into the Callington circle and off-loaded the ball to Thorp who expertly put the ball past the keeper scoring the winning goal.
