WESTCOUNTRY charity South West Lakes Trust will be holding a celebration day at Roadford Lake next month, celebrating ten years of its Lakeside function suite and visitor centre.

The event on July 5, which will run from 11am to 5pm, will include a variety of exhibitors and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Have a go at a range of activities including sailing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, water zorbing, high ropes, archery, bushcraft and fishing taster sessions.

Face painting will also be available as well as giant games, a bouncy castle, family friendly fun with the Entertainingly Different Rob Pudner and Hanky Mouse, cycle hire (including electric bikes) and much more!

South West Water will be running tours of the dam and music will be provided by Ashwater School Steel Band.

Screech Owl Sanctuary will also be at the event with three of their beautiful owls and Collytown Therapy Ponies are bringing along a couple of miniature Shetland ponies.

Visitors to the site can explore the lake by bike or foot and visit the striking six metre Jubilee Sundial, a unique gift to the Queen from the people of Devon, commemorating six decades of her reign.

Parking at the event will be free but there will be small charges for some activities.
