A SWIG of coffee can help Macmillan Cancer Research later this month as the charity urges people to get together for the World?s Biggest Coffee Morning. Mrs Joyce Brockman from Okehampton will again be taking part in the event by holding a coffee morning on Friday, September 30 at Fairplace Church, from 10am to noon. Money raised by large and small coffee events all over the UK helps to fund essential information and counselling centres, specialist Macmillan medical staff, buildings for cancer treatment and care, as well as grants for people with cancer who are in financial difficulty. All the money raised will be donated to help Macmillan provide vital support to cancer sufferers in the community. Mrs Brockman said everyone was welcome to come along and make their cup of coffee count but she also hoped people in Okehampton would have some fun and hold their own coffee morning on Friday, September 30 to support a great cause.
