A BUMPER £1,100 was raised for Hatherleigh School funds, thanks to proceeds from the school's summer fair.

Headteacher Caroline Boother thanked the parent-run group Hatherleigh School Association and all who helped at the fair and evening event last week.

She said: 'Attendance was great, the weather was kind to us and a fantastic time was had by everyone. Thank you.

'The school would like to extend its thanks to Lynn Strawbridge and all her helpers for organising such a successful event and to everyone who supported on the night.
