THE small matter of snow and ice on the roads were no problem for one determined student from Kelly College.

After her family could not get their car out of their home near Horsebridge because of conditions Georgina Killingbeck, decided to take her own 'ultimate 4x4' and ride her horse, Rambo to school.

Georgie, aged 17, has always wanted to ride to school so this week was the perfect opportunity as the roads on the the eight mile route were extremely quiet.

The plucky A level student — who is hoping to do some conservation work next year during her six months abroad in Madagascar, New Zealand, French Polynesian Islands and Australia before studying geography at university — finished her lessons and then rode to the supermarket to pick up some supplies before setting off home across the snow with Rambo.
